None of my friends want an Xbox, they all sold theirs, just don't play games anymore or never liked the xbox library. Mine will be going next to my Amiga, NES, classic GB series and Mega Drive in an air tight box for future play. I loved playing with my dads toys when I was a kid so it's probably only right that I do the same for my future kids!
Well lets see, you can play Amiga, NES and all GB and GBA games, plus alot more, on a modded XBOX...so dont relegate it to the dark, dank closet just yet?

This is a 3 min example. it's very sloppy and rough but I hope it shows the concept for yah how to do better hands and you can do a decent job on your copy.

First thing. No the superdrive is a CD/DVD drive. It's not a hard drive. Unless you want to store your video on a DVD or something then yes you could burn it to a disk with the superdrive.
As for wanting to watch it. You can watch it on your Air (Just double click the file) or you can actually hook your Air up to your TV (Probably). You will need an HDTV with an HDMI in a VGA in or a DVI in then a display port to HDMI or VGA or DVI. You could also get an Apple TV but you can only watch it in 720 instead of 1080 (1280 x 720, and 1920 x 1080). This sounds like a big deal but it really isn't. Apply TV is 100 dollars so that might be too much. You can burn it to a DVD and then watch it in your DVD player but that won't be HD. If you got a blu ray burner and you have a blu ray player you could burn it to blu ray but this is expensive, both as the cost of blu ray disks is quite high and the cost and complication of getting a blu ray burner.

The software license agreement with the Snow Leopard disc states that it's for one computer. Technically Apple wants you to buy another $29 Snow Leopard disc to upgrade your Mom's Mac OS X 10.5 machine. That said there are no CD keys/serial codes on Macintosh install discs to prevent you from using it in reality. Apple leaves it up to you to make the moral decision to listen to the license agreement and accept it.
Of course if it's a gray Mac restore disc it won't work, if you need help determining the difference between a Mac OS X install disc (universal) and a Mac restore disc (gray disc) I wrote an article a while back about it here. (http://stayornay.com/tech/?p=12) Good luck! :)

It's fine, as long as it's only one announcement per site and in the right forum (which it now is).

For example, if I have two cameras and take a picture of a subject ten feet away, I want to choose the camera that captures more of the background.
Must have HD video recording capabilities too.
Thank you so much.

Hello everyone.
I'm considering taking my 2011 MacBook pro back for kernel crashing with USB tethering in 64bit mode.
Has anyone been successful in getting a refund after the 15 return period?
Thanks.

Very nice, but I can't help but think that the ion engine looks a lot like a piece of the "Aurora Chair" from Farscape.
I keep thinking "Mac Rumors One Mill-aurorachair Posts."
Oh well.

There is an SD card reader being offered as an ipad option but have no idea if it will work with the itouch.
It's a serious issue... there is no easy way... when traveling without your sync computer, the best two options are to email them to your touch or to upload them to a web site where you can then get them into the safari cache which is part of the photo section.

O.k. yes.. I hope to get me one of these iPhones when they come out. Regardless of any "new" features. I'm just hoping it'll have that smart Apple design/user interface etc. and I'll be able to sync up with my computer easily.
However.. I just don't see how anything Apple comes out with.. if ever.. can EVER LIVE UP TO ALL THIS HYPE!!
I hope it's a killer though.

I wonder if anybody had a chance to try recently released GuestPC emulator (http://www.lismoresystems.com/index.html)?
I heard about company before (they had PC emulator before, forgot the name) so I am interested how this compares with VirtualPC in terms of performance and compatibility?
Moderator: Can you please delete this thread, this question should go to Mac Software and I started new thread there. Thanks.

Heard of it, never watched it, although I do like a lot of the Discovery and National Geographic shows. They're very interesting.

I would say buy now while PPC is still the standard. Once the Intel machines come out then it will be harder to find PPC machines. I think you are better off riding out the first revisions of the Intel Macs on a PPC machine.

I had the black screen when waking just 5 minutes ago. Had to put my MBA to sleep, wait a couple seconds and wake it again to get the backlight to come on. I'd really like this fixed. I've been on 10.6.6 since the day it was released.

Macs are very picky about booting from legacy OSes (read Windows) on USB. Most of the time it will not work even with rEFIt.
Either burn it to an optical disc and use that, or look for the "without super drive" thread to find instructions on how to do it using VM software or creating a bootable partition on your internal drive.

Based on my experience with the iOS App Store:
When you submit an app to the store, the store performs an automated series of validations (is there an executable? do you have a developer account? did you rate your app?). It sounds like Apple has made that automated series of validations available as a stand alone app. That way you can run the validations before you submit to the App Store, and use the results of the validation to clean up your submission (if necessary).

Can you no longer do volume increments of a quarter-bar in Lion? In Snow Leopard it was alt+shift+volume up/down, but that no longer works in Lion. I liked having precise control of the volume :(
Anyone know if this still exists?
