I love mine too! It's really almost perfect. I'm afraid though that they will mess it up this fall. I've seen the camera version mockup and rumors and I think that is just stupid. I have the 16GB one and I have hundreds of songs in it and it still has a third to go on storage.. I can play it almost a week before I repeat a song. A 32 GB version would be nice but it is really unneeded. I'm hoping they don't ruin it.

Well, Digg had this two days ago...
Anyway, I wonder what impact this will have on their stock this quarter.

Yeah lack of pro support is really going to depend on which professional you talk to. And I'm not meaning for that to come off as an invitation for some hypothetical statistics to support an argument. I'm just meaning to say that it comes down to opinion and personal taste and needs -- among both professionals and more casual users.
This taking of features like LaunchPad and the App Store as threats and harbingers of things to come (iPadification! Mainstreamification!) just seems humorous to me. And this "joe-sumer" and "pro-sumer" talk sounds so needlessly, off-puttingly, elitist. It makes me a bit nauseous.

and what about documents that are no longer there at all? Not!
If I remember correctly Time Machine will only do its trick correctly when you have a nice big external drive where it can store its backupdata, if not Time Machine will allso not be able to recover deleted files ;-) but I guess people forgot to notice that detail ;-)
Time Machine is backup software with a fancy search engine attached to it, no backup no Time Machine...
but I like the iTardis concept... one question, doe it include your own personal real life version of Rose Tyler???? I would like that ;-)) please do :D *drooling*
beware of the Daleks, you can recognise them, they have "designed for Windows" stickers on them... and when viewing a mac on the network they all switch to a blue screen wich says EXTERMINATE ;-)

I don't have a 120. but I have a 2000 and an emate 300 that are both in excellent working order. The eMate actually looks brand new, with no scratches and the original stylus -- and the original battery still holds a charge!

Not exactly but several friends/family members have spent amounts totalling hundreds or thousands of pounds on Apple computers based on my experiences and recommendations.
They all still talk to me so I can`t have steered them too far wrong.
Just waiting for my commission from Apple ;)

my setup...

5mbs cable connection

7mbs cable connection
its so choppy, 2fps at most. im not expecting 30, but a little more than 2. am i doing something wrong? are there other AIM clients with better video support?
-rozwellRemember the download speed on your cable is not guaranteed. And more importantly remember that your upload speed is usally capped at a much lower value - somewhere between 256Kb and 512Kb. And upload speed is a cap, not a guarantee.
Also, other network activity you have going on could affect it as well.

By the way, the Sony is supposedly available in Japan now. I own a Sony and a Apple...and have no problem liking both.
I do realise that the VAIO is thicker than the TiBook, but still the point is that the drive has been shruck now to a size where it can fit into any notebook, it's just a matter of time (or technology) until they have it small enough to fit into the TiBook, and my bet is they allready can do this, it's just when they decide to release it....and in my book a 1Ghz Ti w/ SuperDrive would make an ideal launchpad.

If the school your kids go to use windoze, then you should consider getting a windoze box for your kids. You could turn your old laptop into a virtual machine and keep using it on the mac, buy a copy of windoze 7 and install it on your mac, or get a cheap computer to go along with the mac. Having the same version of word and powerpoint at home and school could make life easier.
I don't think this is necessary. My kids' schools have always been Windows only, yet they have only had Mac's at home. They learned to use (and dislike) Windows at school, and used their Macs at home.
The differences between Office on the Mac and Office on Windows was never a big deal - they don't get that deep into it for that to be an issue.
YMMV, but that has been my experience with two kids using Macs from elementary school through High School...

Hi, I'm looking for a free, good application for doing webpages, in a template-like way. Similar to RapidWeaver.
Thanks in advance.

All you have to do is install it and run, thats literally it. Its the easiest program in the world to use. Just fire up your PS3 from there and find your mac under video on your ps3 and find where you stored your video files on the mac and run them. It takes like 10 seconds.

Thank you for ur reply!
Sorry for not reading the stickies, i've been so stressed trying to figure all this out and registered for 3 different forums where as this was the only one actually answering :)
I know theres a steady learning curve on learning new programming laungage, as i've done some c++ console programming before. I also know that you can start putting some things together pretty early on, using the different things you've learned as you progress (atleast that was the case in c++)
I was thinking of this book http://www.amazon.com/Programming-Objective-C-2-0-3rd-ebook/dp/B004QQ3MI6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&m=A8WELHUS1CTB6&s=digital-text&qid=1303668026&sr=1-4
Or maybe this one actually http://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Programming-Ranch-Guide-ebook/dp/B003EINO1W/ref=pd_sim_kinc_7?ie=UTF8&m=A8WELHUS1CTB6
I might be reffering the most to the last one, any takes?
It states it assumes no prior programming knowledge to any other language, not C either. It will cover both a bit of C, objective C and some of the cocoa frameworks.
thank you for trying to help me, i'd just like to get the best start possible :) Sorry for being a pain and taking away your time, but i sincerely thank you for helping me out :)

Your chances of recovering deleted files are slim under OSX.
http://www.prosoftengineering.com/products/data_rescue_info.php
"Q: Can Data Rescue recover a file I just deleted (I'm running Mac OS X)?
A: No, there is no tool on the market that can recover deleted files without being loaded ahead-of-time. OS X (UNIX) writes over your deleted file immediately, impeding recovery (this was different in previous operating systems that were not based on UNIX). Our other product, Data Recycler can prevent this from happening by protecting you from this type of data loss in the future."
Thanks
