How about if there was a quicklink to tell you which songs you have are bookmarked or recommended by other people. THat way I can see who likes the songs I like easier and look directly at their lists. Chances are folks who like my stuff will have songs I like also.

Thank you for that. So the steps would be as follows I think:
1 - Backup my 3G to iTunes.
2 - Connect the iPhone 4 and initialize it.
3 - Do a restore to the iPhone 4 from iTunes.
Correct?

What's the easiest way to move my Internet Explorer bookmarks to Safari?
I think this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it by searching. Too many threads and posts to look through!

Very cool. :)
I'd love to see it slowed down a tad though.

I love my 4th generation Nano. Scroll wheel is a winner and it should have stayed on the Nano.

So I just got a call from the AT&T store telling me that (at least for walkings) the date changed to the 29th. I Know that all AT&T stores had a conference call to just let them know. My wife and I just left from the store to setup a new family plan. Everything went great...in and out in 30 mins. So we went out for dinner and on the way home we got the call. They said I was one of the lucky ones that they had our contact numbers. I had that day off of work just to wait in line early in the morning to get them. So If your planing on going to an AT&T store for a walk in ...you better call ASAP...:(

Dear Macrumors,
After a failed attempt at reinstalling windows 7 on my friends computer (Dell Optiplex 760), we decided to load Ubuntu on it. Hes loving Ubuntu and all, but theres one issue, no sound. Now his computer had problems with sound back when it was still on XP, so its not a ubuntu thing. Knowing that, we decided to go to the computer market, and we got this USB-Sound Port thing, and it works on my laptop. We had to get my Win7 Laptop to play off the USB, and not the laptops own speakers.
So i was wondering, since its not working in Ubuntu but it worked on my laptop once i made my laptop recognize it, i was wondering if that would be the solution to my friends sound problems, and if im right, how could i go about doing this?
Just a recall, my friend bought a USB to Sound port, it works, its just not working on his computer, how can i solve this?
We are both pretty much noobs, so an idiot-proof version, if you can come up with any solution at all, would be GREATLY appreciated.
Again, thank you in advance,
cheers,
AJ--

Maybe Flip4Mac and Perian can help?
Can you download them and watch them via VLC Player?

Have you looked at PinPoint (http://www.macchampion.com/pinpoint_download.shtml) It's shareware ($10) and the default installation puts a red circle around your mouse if you leave it idle for a period of time or if you hit a hotkey. You get to set the time period and / or the hotkey.

The VMWare tools do more than just help with activation. They have ties to the functionality that allows them to suspend a virtual machine, allows virtual machines to access hardware functions, etc. I'd recommend installing them.

thank you for that. In the comments I found the script I must have used. I am still slightly uncomfortable in terminal and didnt want to goof anything up. I appreciate it.

Try plugging in the guitar first. It may need to be stimulated (totally not the right word) to get recognized.

I think we'll get an iteration of the iPhone, not sure what the moniker will be though...

You could try speaking with the manager at the Apple Store. Usually with Apple rules are rules. Good luck. ;)
